The Ontario Real Estate Association (OREA) represents real estate brokers and agents across Ontario. OREA’s mission is to help Ontario realtors succeed in building stronger communities.
We had a great discussion about how OREA provides resources, tools, and information to help Ontarians achieve the dream of owning a home. As young professionals, we appreciated hearing about their tireless and urgent efforts to work with the government to make homeownership more affordable in Ontario. This work spans a range of initiatives, including providing standard forms, advocating on key issues with the government, and offering professional development and wellness programs, all aimed at supporting realtors and strengthening communities across the province. It was also amazing to learn how OREA started as a small group in the 1920s and has grown to almost 100,000 members and 23 real estate boards today.
Our heartfelt thanks to OLIP alumni extraordinaire, Jason Lagerquist, Head of Government Relations, and Dia Mukherjee, Government Relations and Communications Specialist, for taking the time to meet with us. Thank you for treating us to a delicious lunch and providing the opportunity to attend the OREA conference. Your support for professional development and the OLIP program is deeply appreciated!
