Founded in 2002, the Nuclear Waste Management Organization (NWMO) is a not-for-profit organization tasked with the safe, long-term management of Canada’s intermediate- and high-level radioactive waste, in a manner that protects people and the environment for generations to come. The NWMO has been guided for more than 20 years by a dedicated team of world-class scientists, engineers and Indigenous Knowledge Holders that are developing innovative and collaborative solutions for nuclear waste management.

For more than 50 years, nuclear energy has been used in Canada as a dependable, low-carbon energy source for our homes and companies. Today, with an active research industry devoted to developing technologies, nuclear power has become an increasingly significant part of the discourse as global energy consumption grows and the need to address climate change intensifies. NWMO plays a vital role in managing waste in ways that safeguard human health and minimize the impact on the environment.

We are grateful for our new connection with Isaac, Senior Advisor in Government Relations at the NWMO, as well as our new partnership with NWMO. We anticipate many more exciting endeavors in our partnership.
