As part of our efforts to meet as many OLIP alumni as possible this year, we have been hosting alumni panels to learn about possible career paths after OLIP. Last week we hosted three OLIP alumni working in government relations, Rob Nicol, VP of Corporate Affairs at Walmart Canada (1993-1994 cohort), Brandy Giannetta, Senior Director with the Canadian Renewable Energy Association (1999-2000 cohort), and Vanessa Dupuis, Manager, Government Relations at Loblaw Companies Limited (2013-2014 cohort).
We appreciated hearing about their time with OLIP and how they decided on their careers afterwards. Each of our panelists had unique path to where they are today that provided us insights into the options for us to consider over the next few months. We also always love spending some time with fellow OLIP politicos for *non-partisan* discussions about policy and politics in Ontario and Canada today!
We are grateful to Rob, Brandy, and Vanessa for taking the time to meet with us. We appreciate their valuable advice as we all consider life after OLIP and we all look forward to catching up with them in the future at one of our alumni events!
