Partner Blog: Noviscend

The interns enjoyed a great meeting with Ryan Clarke, the Executive Director of Advocacy at Noviscend. Noviscend is a medical equipment manufacturing company with a goal of ensuring that all patients have access to a wide range of innovative products on the global market. Our meeting with Mr. Clarke gave us a fascinating glimpse into the sector - one of the unique opportunities that OLIP provides!  

Mr. Clarke was generous with both his time and advice, sharing with us his previous experience at Queen’s Park working in a Minister’s office. It was interesting to hear about Mr. Clarke’s transition from working at Queen’s Park to entering the fields of advocacy and lobbying, and he provided advice on navigating these distinct but interconnected fields. Mr. Clarke left us with insight into the pillars of effective advocacy and implementing an effective advocacy strategy. We ended with an engaging conversation about our observations and learnings acquired over our time at the Legislature.
