The OLIP interns welcomed Don Fusco, the Regional Director of the Chemistry Industry Association of Canada (CIAC), who graciously shared his wealth of knowledge on the Chemistry and Plastics sector.  

CIAC represents 50 production companies and 180 plastic producers, and they serve as the dedicated advocacy hub for leaders in Canada's chemistry and plastic sector. They are Canada’s second largest manufacturing exporter. Their sector has evolved with a strong commitment to sustainability and adhering to production ethics. At the heart of key Canadian industries, the chemistry and plastics sector remains vital, driving growth and innovation while upholding a steadfast commitment to sustainability.
