For my first MPP placement, I was lucky enough to work with MPP Deepak Anand of Mississauga—Malton. Working with MPP Anand and witnessing firsthand his tireless efforts on behalf his constituents and all Ontarians was an exceptional opportunity for which I am extremely grateful.
MPP Anand is a member of the Standing Committee on Finance and Economic Affairs and the Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development. These critical files kept his schedule full, allowing me to work on many different and important tasks. I am immensely grateful for MPP Anand's trust which allowed me to contribute research and insight regarding various issues affecting Ontarians. My work included conducting thorough research on bills, writing speeches for his Member's Statements, and writing quotes for the press releases and social media.
Working in MPP Anand’s office provided me with the opportunity to learn and grow my abilities while working on a number of important projects that helped make life better for Ontarian’s. A big thank you to MPP Anand for being a fantastic mentor and helping me better understand his role at Queen’s Park.
