Jeremy Istead was raised in Peterborough, Ontario. He completed his post-secondary education at the University of Guelph, earning an Honours BA in History and Philosophy in 2016, and an MA in History in 2018. His Major Research Paper was a history of sexual harassment in Ontario universities in the 1980s and 1990s. Jeremy has presented at academic conferences and has been the recipient of awards for research and academic excellence, including the Joseph-Armand Bombardier Canada Graduate Scholarship. He has also been an intern at a non-profit in Peterborough. Jeremy’s interests include political history, social and political philosophy, and public policy. He is excited, honoured and humbled to be a part of OLIP.

Jeremy Istead a grandi à Peterborough en Ontario. Il a terminé ses études postsecondaires à l'Université de Guelph où il a obtenu un baccalauréat spécialisé en histoire et en philosophie en 2016 ainsi qu’une maîtrise en histoire en 2018. Son mémoire de recherche a porté sur l'histoire du harcèlement sexuel dans les universités de l'Ontario dans les années 1980 et 1990. Il a présenté des exposés à des conférences universitaires et a été récipiendaire de prix pour la recherche et l'excellence académique, dont la Bourse d'études supérieures du Canada Joseph-Armand-Bombardier. Il a également été stagiaire dans un organisme sans but lucratif de Peterborough. Il s'intéresse à l'histoire politique, à la philosophie sociale et politique ainsi qu’aux politiques publiques. Jeremy est reconnaissant, enthousiaste et extrêmement honoré de faire partie du PSALO.
